Patty Griffin - I Don't Ever Give Up

In two days I am finally going to see the spectacular Patty Griffin in concert. I figured, what better way to celebrate this wonderous occassion than by posting Patty's performance of I Don't Ever Give Up on Jay Leno. Enjoy.

Dirt Never Looked So Good

I just wanted to post this promo picture for Courtney Cox-Arquette's new show "Dirt", because I think it is important to keep things beautiful around the Christmas holiday.

All I know about the show is that Courtney plays an editor-in-chief for a celebrity tabloid magazine. The show premieres on January 2nd on the FX channel.

Debbie Downer

This probably won't be up for very long (since NBC removes everything good from youtube) but I don't care, this is my favorite Debbie Downer skit. I love when they can't make it through without laughing. Please enjoy despite the presense of Ms. Lohan.

Sex Is On!

I was going to wait and add this story when I was sure that the news was positively true, but it's taking awhile to be confirmed and I'm too excited to not write about it.

It has been reported that the four glamorous gals of Sex And The City are back in talks to make the much talked about film version of the HBO hit series. The film, which will show the next chapter in the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte, was first scrapped after complaints from actress Kim Cattrall about pay raises and wanting full script approval before proceeding (which was partly denied). But now, all of the girls camps have been in talks to make the film a reality.

Given that this was first reported a couple of weeks ago and it still hasn't been confirmed nor denied is a good sign to me. If it wasn't true, surely someone would have sussed it out by now. Keep your fingers crossed kids.

Update: I just read that Kristin Davis is excited by the idea of the movie, and hopes that the other girls (mainly Kim and Sarah Jessica) can sort their differences and allow the project to happen. Yeah! One down, three to go.

NBC Doesn't Live To Tell!

I could not be more upset. NBC has decided not to show Madonna mounted on the mirrored cross donning a crown of thorns during the Live To Tell portion of the Confession's Tour telecast on November 20th. Christian groups in America threatened to boycott one of the major sponsors of the telecast, and so NBC has decided that they will not cut the song from the showing but just edit it so you can only see her from certain angles not including the cross or the crown.

Why bother? We know it's there. It's not blasphemous, and if Christians have a problem with it then hey, here's a thought, don't fuckin' watch it. I'd rather they just cut the song altogether, because that is bullshit.

And as far as the Madonna adoption goes, I find it hysterical that.....

1) it was splashed all over the front page of the Toronto Star newspaper

2) it has been deemed a global controversy

3) People seem to have a problem with the star adopting a one year old from Malawi

Let's break it down shall we? She adopted an orphaned boy from an extremely disadvantaged background and has moved him to live in luxury with her and her loving family. God, the members of the media and of the Malawian adoption services are right, she's a horrible horrible person. The fact that moving the boy so early from his village might be illegal, is ridiculous to me. There is no doubt that Madonna can provide a good life for the kid (Hello!?!), and there are worse crimes to commit, don't you think?

Emma Comes Dancing

Emma Bunton is currently starring in the BBC television show "Strictly Come Dancing". The competitive dance series which inspired the American version "Dancing With The Stars" teams 14 celebrities, including Emma, up with professionally trained dancers, who are voted off the show by the viewing public. Emma has been teamed up with dancer Darren Bennett. I think she may have an inside edge what with being a popstar and all, but she will have to master many different styles of dance to reach the winning spot.

Good luck to her!

Whitney, Rosie, And Penny On SNL

Whitney Houston - Rapapapa-pum

Thanks to Dean for sending me this. It fully deserves a spot on this site. Penny Marshall, Rosie O'Donnell, and Whitney Houston in the SNL Mary Catherine Gallagher skit. Giddy Up!

Tyra The Mega Bitch!

Tyra Banks Gone Wild

I don't watch America's Next Top Model (I really should though, and I will start I swear), but I saw a clip of this moment on Entertainment Tonight before it happened, and I nearly died laughing. This is what you get for being a gracious loser. Poor Tiffany, next time you'll know to cry on Tyra's show when you get booted. No other reaction is permitted, now...Cry BITCH!

Ps. Notice how Tyra almost makes this whole thing about her? Too Funny. It's moments like this that make me think twice about hating Tyra lol.

PPS. Favorite Line = "When my Mother yells like this, it's because she loves me." Christ, I'd hate to meet her Mother.

When Teenage Soap Opera Characters Mourn

Okay, I only ever watched the first season of The O.C. Back when Summer was cute, Seth was funny, Ryan was sexy and troubled, and we all wanted Marisa to just fuck off and die. So now, as I've been told, Marisa has granted all of our wishes, dying in this summers season finale. But where does that leave Ryan? The two had a very demented relationship, one minute they were dating, the next they weren't, the minute after that Ryan was a sugar daddy, then Marisa couldn't kick her coke addiction (or something of the sort, as I said I didn't watch the second or third seasons), annoying to keep up with, isn't it folks. But anyway, poor little (grieving) Ryan has ended up where many men who only wear wifebeaters end up.....as a cage fighter.

Is this not the stupidest show on television? Ratings were clearly dwindling down to the nubbin, making the execs say "Lets think of a way to get the girls and the gays back on the train. How about taking Ryan out of the wifebeaters and making him join Fightclub?" Genius! Because we all know that we only saw Fightclub because Brad Pitt was shirtless for pretty much the entire movie. Is he going to sell soap for a living too? Maybe I'm being too sensitive on this subject, but my Dad became a cage fighter when my hamster died, and he realized too late that violence wasn't the answer. You just have to face it.....Fluffy is gone.

My Point = Take up drinking, it's less costly on the face.

Liza With A "Z" On Order

Liza Minnelli will be guest starring on an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent in November. The episode which will be entitled "Masquerade" will feature Liza as a former beauty queen whose daughter, an aspiring beauty queen, is found murdered on Halloween night.

Liza has been doing quite a bit of showmanship lately. Touring, a recurring role on Arrested Development, and most recently a cameo appearance in the film "The Oh In Ohio".

Best to keep busy while your gay ex-husband is trying to sue you for assault and battery, don't you find?

Alanis Gets A Nip/Tuck

Alanis is going to be guest starring in 3 episodes of the drama series Nip/Tuck, starting October 31st. Alanis will play Poppy, an athletic and perky girl who's a love interest for Roma Maffia's character. Dr. Liz Cruz. Don't you think Alanis looks gorgeous in these pictures from the episodes? She actually looks like a woman. I thought she would be a butch girlfriend (because she can look very masculine at times), but this is so much better than what I was anticipating. Keep up with the make-up Alanis.

Ps. This is my 100th post :) I'm rather proud of myself *pat on the back*. Well done ole' chap.
